Michael Beveridge, host of the pride rally and radio presenter for Fox FM, said redheads are “bullied and harassed” at all stages of life.

“It’s not just down to pale skin people. There are indigenous redheads as well that are even further ostracised by the community,” Mr Beveridge said.
“When it comes down to it, if you’re making someone feel bad about the way they are born, then don’t do it.”
The Red and Nearly Ginger Association (RANGA) organised the event (with the sponsorship of Buderim Ginger Beer) to unite gingers and raise money for Bully Zero Australia.
Joel Coen, a representative from RANGA, suggested we could see more rallies in the future.
“They’re calling this march an inaugural ginger rally. So, inaugural tends to suggest that it’s the first of possibly many,” said Mr Coen.
